Punch IDs

A punch ID in TAA is the employee ID number your workers use when clocking in, which is necessary for collecting time card data. Employees will be unable to record punches (clock-in and -out events) in TAA without a currently active assigned punch ID, even if otherwise entered in the database.

Note: If you have implemented a system in which your employees are given fobs or ID cards to use when clocking in and out, you can use the Punch ID submenu to assign the ID number of those devices to employees.

To access the Punch IDs submenu, click Punch IDs on the left menu. The following options will appear:

View Assignments: To view the punch IDs of all the employees in your organization.
Assign Punch ID: To assign a punch ID to an employee.
Punch ID Lookup: To search for an employee by punch ID number (for example, if given a lost ID card to scan or an ID number to enter).
