Admin
You can configure Time and Attendance (TAA) according to your organization's specifications using the Admin settings. To begin, click Admin on the left menu to see the following options:
- Users: To manage your users' groups, including privileges, departments, reports, and fields.
- Departments: To organize your employees into different departments.
- Employee Assignments: Only for customers who use Sartox's SunPac payroll system, which includes as part of the import assignment numbers according to job code, employee, and site location (if applicable).
- Employee Types: To manage your employee types, including creating new ones, assigning them to employees, and assigning job types to the employee types.
Note: Remember the difference between the two TAA terms employee type and job type: The employee type is a general description, such as Driver, and the job type is a specific job, such as Regular Route or Field Trip.
- Employee Fields: To manage what fields are included in your employee records.
- Employee Properties: Not often used, but to create one more level of employee categorization, if needed, such as specifying where the employees' shifts start.
- Attendance Events: To set up your attendance events, a points-based system designed to measure employee performance, based on attendance and policy compliance. On this screen, you create the events and assign their point values.
- Absence Types: To create the absence types that can be entered in TAA.
- Job Types: To specify the job types your organization will use, such as Regular Route or Field Trip, their job codes, and the employee types they are valid for.
- Holidays: To add holidays to your work calendar, assign them to employee types, and determine whether they're paid.
- Pay Rates: Not often used, but to specify pay rates for each job type.
- Position Codes: Used only by one TAA customer to specify a numeric code for their employees' positions.
- System Settings: To customize TAA to your organization's needs, including rounding rules and calculations, how you want the calendar to appear, what your regular work hours are, your overtime policy, and your attendance policy.
