TAA Portal


The Time and Attendance Portal (https://portal.silverlining.synovia.com) offers your employees several options for managing their time, including the following:



Many TAA customers have kiosks set up at their dispatch yards for their employees to use to clock in using the TAA Portal and perform the other time-related tasks mentioned above.


To begin using the portal, navigate to https://portal.silverlining.synovia.com. Two tabs make up the initial screen:



Clock-In Tab


The Clock-In tab appears first when you navigate to the TAA Portal site.



Clocking In


To clock in, follow these steps:


  1. Type your employee ID in the Employee ID field.
  2. Type your Synovia account number in the Account Number field.
  3. Optionally, you can check Remember Me to have your account number saved.
  4. Continue with the Default Job Type procedure below if you are performing your default job type, such as Regular Route, OR with the Choose Job Type procedure if you are performing a different job type than the default one, such as Field Trip.


Default Job Type


  1. Leave Default Job selected.
  2. Click Scan.



  3. Click OK.

  4. Note: If you don't click OK, the dialog box will time out and close on its own.


Choose Job Type


  1. Select Choose Job Type.
  2. Click Scan.



  3. Click the job type you are performing.



  4. Click OK.

  5. Note: If you don't click OK, the dialog box will time out and close on its own.


Clocking Out


If you are clocked in, you can clock out using the portal as well. To do so, follow these steps:


  1. Perform steps 1 through 3 in the section "Clocking In" above.
  2. Leave Default Job selected, no matter which job you are logged in as.
  3. Click Scan.



Transferring Between Jobs


If you are clocked in with one job and need to transfer to another, you can do so using the portal, as follows:


  1. Perform steps 1 through 3 in the section "Clocking In" above.
  2. Select Choose Job Type.
  3. Click Scan.



  4. Click the job type you are transferring to.


Portal Tab


To access the other employee functions of the TAA Portal site, click the Portal tab.



Logging in to the TAA Portal


To log in, follow these steps:


  1. Type your employee ID in the Employee ID field.
  2. Type your portal password in the Password field.

  3. Note: If you don't remember your password, click the Forgot My Password link. Then follow the directions to reset it.


  4. Type your Synovia account number in the Account Number field.
  5. Optionally, you can check Remember Account Number to have your account number saved.
  6. Click Login.



Clock In/Out


You can clock in and out from within the full portal site as well. To do so, follow these steps:


  1. Click Clock In/Out on the left menu.



  2. Click the Job Type down arrow and select the job you are going to perform.
  3. Click Clock In.
  4. Optionally, you can type additional information in the Notes field.



Review Current Work


To check your current time card in the TAA Portal, follow these steps:


  1. Click Review Current Work on the left menu.



  2. Make sure that the recorded shifts match the time you worked.

  3. Note: If it is time to approve your time card (if your organization is set up for you to do so) and all the shifts look accurate, you can click Approve Time Card.


Review Past Work


To check past time cards in the TAA Portal, follow these steps:


  1. Click Review Past Work on the left menu.



  2. Navigate to the past week you need to check by clicking at the top left.

  3. Note: You can move forward through the time card weeks by clicking . To find a week with a calendar control, click .


  4. Make sure that the recorded shifts match the time you worked.

  5. Note: If your organization has set up approval for past work, you can approve your time card (if all the shifts look accurate) by clicking Approve Time Card.


Request Time Off


If your organization has configured the TAA Portal to accept absence requests, you can input one on the Request Time Off screen. See TAA Portal ›› Request Time Off for details.


Note: To see how to set up and approve absence requests in TAA, go to Setting Up Absence Requests and Approving Absence Requests, respectively.


My Account


To see your TAA Portal account details, change your password, or update your security question and answer, follow these steps:


  1. Click My Account on the left menu.



  2. You can see your employee ID, last name, first name, and middle name as they are listed in the TAA system in the Employee Details section.

  3. Note: These will be grayed out because you cannot change them in the portal.


  4. You can update your password in the Change Password area, as follows:

    1. Type your current password in the Current Password field.
    2. Type the password you want to use going forward in the New Password field.
    3. Retype the new password in the Confirm Password field.
    4. Click Save.


  5. You can change your security question and answer in the Security Question section, as follows:

    1. Click the Select Question down arrow and choose the question you want to use.
    2. Type the answer to the question in the Answer field.
    3. Click Save.


Log Off


You can click Log Off in the left menu to exit the TAA Portal.



Alternatively, you can click Log Out at the top right to close the portal.
